The IRS impostor scam

This scam is gaining traction again nationwide. Is especially effective during tax season. Usually,
someone posing as an IRS agent will call an unsuspecting person, and inform him or her, that unless money is sent immediately, that person will be arrested.

Many an unsuspecting person has been duped out of their money.

The thing to remember is, that no legitimate officer of the court, or officer of the federal government, will call you, demand money from you.

If you get such a call, hang up and call the agency back at the number listed at their web site. Do not use the number that the caller gives you.
