On a Thursday, I appeared with my client in Gainesville City Court. My client had been ticketed for driving 25 mph over the speed limit.
Following considerable consultation with the prosecutor in effort to get the speed reduced to 14 over the limit, the prosecutor was unwilling to allow this and wanted a six-month probation for my client.
So, I had the case bound over to Superior Court which gives me the opportunity to present my client’s case to a different prosecutor and obtain a more favorable result for my client.
