The laws in the State of Georgia require that all vehicle traffic, in each direction of travel, must come to a stop when approaching a loading or unloading school bus.
The period of time that the vehicle must remain stopped includes when the stop signs are extended, even though the school children have already entered the bus.
After considerable negotiation with the prosecutor, I was able to get my defendants charge dismissed.
