On March 17, 2015, I appeared in the Alpharetta Municipal Court accompanied by my client who had been charged with shoplifting. After consultation and negotiations with the prosecutor, I was able to obtain a pretrial diversion for my client. This means that the client must perform certain tasks like attending a anti-shoplifting class and other tasks to earn a dismissal.
