Getting an earned dismissal for client’s shoplifting charge.

On Friday, March 16, 2018, I appeared with my client in the Dunwoody Municipal Court.

My client who is a young female had been arrested for shoplifting at Walmart.

Following considerable negotiation with the prosecutor, I was able to get the court to agree to pretrial diversion.  This will allow my client to earn a dismissal of the shoplifting charge and a restriction of her arrest record.
My client will have to perform community service and attend shoplifting classes.

She has concerns about the renewal of her immigration status. So, in an effort to expedite this process, I convinced the court to allow my client to appear on the first available date as a walk-in, so all of this could be completed before her immigration renewal.

This is another very happy client of the Alpharetta, Georgia shoplifting defense attorney Scott Miller.
