Lessons that I learned from a DUI in Alpharetta, GA.
Getting stopped for a DUI was a terrible experience, however, it did get me to face my alcohol problem.

Recognizing the problem is the first step in dealing with any problem.

What I do now, after coming to grips with my alcohol problem is the following:

First off, if I am planning to go to a place where alcohol is consumed, I must decide if tonight I will be a drinker or a driver. You should never be both, drinker and driver.  One drink of alcohol can cause you to drive impaired and get you arrested for DUI.
If you have decided that you will be a drinker tonight, then arrange for someone other than yourself, to be the driver.
If you find yourself in the position that you have consumed alcohol, and you are the driver, then leave your vehicle there, and take a taxi home.
The taxi is much safer and costs much less then the consequences of drinking and driving.
If you are arrested for DUI, the first thing you should do is contact and experience DUI defense attorney. Do not try to solve this matter on your own. In all likelihood you will be arrested and face some additional jail time. Your car will be impounded, and your drivers license will be suspended.  You will also face a substantial monetary fine.
