Weather hazards and motorcycles, from Alpharetta, GA. Motorcycle Attorney Scott Miller.

Motorcycles in general, only contact the ground with about 10-15 square inches of rubber.  That small amount of rubber is generally enough, however when the road is wet, or your tires are wet, things get slippery fast.
Wet roads are a problem for motorcycle riders at all times, however when riding through a curve, the problem magnifies itself.

The most dangerous time to ride in the rain is immediately after the rain begins to fall.
Rain causes the oil on the road to rise to the surface, making the road extremely slippery.

If you must ride in the rain, reduce your speed, apply brakes and throttle gently.
