Will a failure to appear in NC. affect me in GA.?

I got a call today from a potential client about a failure to appear in North Carolina.
He was visiting his family North Carolina when he received the speeding ticket.
After returning to Georgia he did not go back to North Carolina to appear in court.  Later he received a letter from the North Carolina Court which informed him that he had failed to appear.

The state of Georgia participates in the non-resident violation compact, which is an agreement between states that provide information about failures to appear.
My client faces drivers license suspension here in Georgia.

This particular issue is a complex issue, and it is best handled by a drivers license suspension defense attorney.
