Can my car be impounded for expired registration in Georgia?
It is illegal to drive a car in Georgia that does not have a current registration.  If you are stopped while driving a vehicle on the street with an expired registration the officer may very well impound your car.  Your car cannot legally return to the street until the new registration is issued.
You may also have to pay court fees and a fine.
It is a common mistake to forget to pay for a current registration on time.

Do not let this happen to you. If you have issues with expired vehicle registration contact an experienced traffic ticket lawyer to fight for your rights.  Call traffic ticket Attorney Scott Miller in Alpharetta Georgia for a free consultation. 770-408-1001.
