I got a super speeder ticket on GA 400. What should I do?
The Georgia super speeder law went into affect in the year 2009. This law added an additional $200 fee to speeding fines in Georgia. if a driver is convicted of exceeding the speed limit by 20 mph or more.

If you are convicted of a super speeder violation, the department of driver services will assess an additional $50 penalty. It is payable no later than 90 days after the notice has been sent out.
Failure to pay this fee will result in automatic suspension of your drivers license.

A super speeder ticket is a criminal misdemeanor, it is not a simple traffic violation.

It is unwise to simply pay the fine and plead guilty to a super speeder ticket. This may place your driving privileges in jeopardy.
