A person who drives a motor vehicle on any public road in Georgia without a valid vehicle registration shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
Upon conviction, such person may be punished by imprisonment of up to 12 months. There may a fine of not less than $500.00 nor more than $1,000.00.
