On May 8, 1978, David Berkowitz, known as the son of Sam, admitted that he was guilty of the murders of six individuals. He claimed his dog ordered him to commit the murders.
He also admitted that he was the cause of 2000 fires over a four-year period of time, under the alias, "the Phantom of the Bronx."
Then as well as now, we owe law enforcement officials a big THANK YOU, for protecting us and keeping us as safe as possible from individuals like the Son of Sam / the Phantom of the Bronx.

According to the AJC.com, the police department of Milton, Georgia will host a series of self-defense courses for women.
These courses will teach defending yourself against rape.
The Milton police department says that, "the classes will teach basic self-defense, and how to recognize, avoid, resist, and escape, harmful situations."
The cost for the class is $40.
