If you text and drive your chance of dying in a vehicle crash increases dramatically.

Georgia legislators passed a bill to prevent drivers from using or even touching a mobile device while operating a motor vehicle.

Georgia code 40– 6-241. 2 A,B, makes it illegal for anyone operating a motor vehicle to hold a wireless device for communication.
Anyone found guilty of this violation will be subject to a fine of $500.

Georgia code 40–6–241.2 B,C, makes it illegal for anyone to reach for a wireless device.
Anyone found guilty of this violation will be subject to a fine of $500.

Using a mobile device while operating a motor vehicle is extremely distracting and has caused a dramatic increase in deaths on the Georgia’s roadways.

Don’t touch your mobile device and arrive at your destination alive.
