Client's speeding ticket dismissed in Alpharetta. On February 27, 2019, I appeared with my client in the Alpharetta Municipal Court. My client had been charged with a super speeder ticket. Georgia code 40 – 6–189 classifies a super speeder as anyone convicted of speeding at 75 mph or more on a 2 Lane Rd, or 85 mph on any road in the state of Georgia. After considerable negotiation with the prosecutor, I was able to get the court to agree to reduce my client’s speed to 14 mph over the limit after my client completes a defensive driving class. This will become a non-reporting incident to the Georgia Department of driver Service and is essentially a dismissal.
