Getting client’s extremely high speed ticket dismissed.
On January 13, 2019, I appeared with my under age client and my client’s family in the Douglas County State Court.

My client had been charged with speeding 118 mph in a 65 mph zone.
His speed was 58 miles an hour over the limit.

GA Code 40-6-181 says that “no person shall drive a vehicle at a speed in excess of the establish maximum limits.”
The code also a establishes a speed limit of 65 mph on a highway or a federal interstate system which is inside and urbanized area of 50,000 population or more.

The Georgia code 40-6-181 says that if convicted of speeding 34+ mph over the limit, 6 points to the offenders driving record.

Following lengthy negotiation with the prosecutor, I was able to get an incredible result for my client. Even though my client was under 21 years old, I was able to get the court to agree to reduce my clients speed to 14 mph over the limit, and he will keep his drivers license.

My client is required to complete community service, and pay a fine and take a defensive driving class and then this matter will be closed.

This young driver and his family are very happy client’s of the Alpharetta, Georgia traffic ticket defense attorney Scott Miller.
