1. Speeding, exceeding the posted speed limit on any road.
2. Driving with a suspended license. This is more common in Georgia than one would guess. "I only needed to drive to the grocery store, I only needed to drive to work, I needed to go to the doctor's  office," are common excuses heard by law enforcement officers.
3. Failure to stop at a stop sign.  Many drivers are ticketed for rolling a stop sign. Your vehicle must come to a complete stop at a stop sign.  Your wheels must stop rolling.
4. Running a red light.  All to often drivers try to beat the red light by speeding through a yellow light at an intersection.  There are red light cameras which are hard to dispute, at many locations in Georgia.  
5. Failure to signal a turn or a traffic lane change.
 
   Being aware of these common mistakes may save you from getting a traffic ticket wile driving.
