Alpharetta, GA. attorney Scott Miller explains where to keep your drivers documents.

It is best to keep all of your driver documents in a separate small folder, in your vehicle's glove compartment, where they are easy to find.  These document should include your current and up to date vehicle registration, and proof of insurance.
If you are stopped by a law-enforcement officer while driving, it is best to not be seen as fumbling around in the glove box looking for your documents.
The officer may assume, because of your actions, that you are under the influence of alcohol or some type of medication. This may lead to a field sobriety test and possible arrest.

Keep all of your documents in orderly manner inside your vehicles glove box so that they can be easily found.
