First Offense

Your first offense of driving on a suspended license (within a five year period) is what’s known as a misdemeanor in Georgia. If you are convicted of this you will have to serve two days in jail and pay a minimum fine of $500. In addition, you could possibly lose your license for an additional six months. Second or More Offenses

Any second or subsequent offenses are classified as misdemeanors of a high and aggravated nature.  You will pay a fine of $1000 to $2500 and spend a minimum of 10 days in jail.
