Skidding
A vehicle skids when its tires lose their grip on the road surface. When a vehicle skids, the power that the engine sends to the wheels and the braking ability of the wheels are lost. Wet or slick surfaces can exaggerate normal movements. If your brakes are applied too hard, or your wheel is turned too sharp, a skid can occur.
If you start to skid:
1-ease your foot off of the accelerator
2-turn the steering wheel in the direction of the skid
3-once you have regained control of the vehicle, you can lightly apply brakes and steer in a safe direction
