Car safety and car color, by Alpharetta, GA. Attorney Scott Miller.
In a study conducted in Spain between 1993-1999, approximately 58,000 vehicle crashes were reviewed. The results of the study indicated that white and yellow colored cars are less likely to be involved in an accident caused by another driver. It was also noted that black colored cars were involved in the highest number of accidents caused by another driver.

In a separate study conducted in Auckland New Zealand, between April 1998 and June 1999, it was noted that black, brown and green cars where are twice as likely to be involved in an accident caused by another driver, as white cars.

While this study is informative, it seems that most people select car color based on emotional satisfaction rather than safety considerations.
