I am representing a client who moved to Georgia two months ago.  He was stopped by a law-enforcement officer after running a red light. He was charged with red light violation, but he also received a ticket for expired registration.

Georgia law requires that a new resident's vehicle must be registered with the state of Georgia, within 30 of arriving.
You must also have your auto liability insurance show that you are living in the state of Georgia.

If you have questions about the above, or if you have been given a traffic ticket for expired registrationor for no insurance, contact the traffic ticket defense attorney Scott Miller, in Alpharetta, Georgia for a free consultation. 770-408-1001
