Fighting 17 year old’s speeding ticket Alpharetta
Wednesday, March 6, 2019:
I appeared with my 17 year old client and her parents in the Alpharetta Municipal court.Wednesday, March 6, 2019:
My client had been charged with speeding, driving 87 mph in a 65 mph zone. This is 22 mph over the speed limit.
Georgia code 40–6–181: Anyone convicted of speeding 19 to 23 mph over the posted speed limit will have three points added to there driving record.
The fact that my client is only 17 years of age, makes this speeding ticket more difficult to negotiate.
I advised my client prior to coming to court to complete the Georgia defensive driving class.
Following negotiations with the prosecutor, I was able to get my client’s speed reduced to 79 mph in a 65 mph zone which is 14 mph over the limit and get her speeding ticket dismissed.
She had already taken the defensive driving class and after paying the fine of $187.50 her case was closed without it being reporting to the Georgia Department of driver services.
This is another very happy client and family of the Alpharetta, Georgia traffic ticket defense attorney Scott Miller.
