On January 20, 2017, I appeared in the DeKalb Recorders Court for my client, who lives in the State of Washington.
This client, who is a professional truck driver, was making a delivery in Decatur, Georgia.
While my client was moving his truck from one lane to another, he was involved in an accident, and he was ticketed for improper lane change with accident.
Prior to my appearing in court for him, I got the client to provide me with a statement from his insurance carrier stating that the damage to the other party's vehicle had been repaired satisfactorily.
Based on this information, and the fact that my client has a negative driving history, I was able to close the case with a dismissal, and my client did not have to return to Georgia to attend the court proceedings. There will no record of this made with the State of Georgia, and no points will be added to his driver's license
