In my experience as a traffic ticket defense attorney, male teenagers, and male drivers in their twenties are the group most often charged with reckless driving.
Reckless driving is defined as the operation of a motorized vehicle in a manner that endangers people or property. The person endangered by reckless driving may include other people, and the driver himself or herself.  The endangered property may be the motorized vehicle that the person is driving and the motorized vehicles of other individuals as well as property on the roadway.
Persons found guilty of reckless driving may face a financial penalty of up to $1000. Persons convicted of reckless driving may be sentenced to jail for up to one year. If the driver of the vehicle convicted of reckless driving is under 21 years of age, it may result in the suspension of his or her driving privileges.
