Speeding in a Georgia Construction Zone:

I saw a sign on the highway recently that said, “slow down my mommy and daddy work here!”

That’s right, the highway workers are mommies and daddies.

The state of Georgia makes speeding in a work zone a serious speeding ticket.

GA Code 40-6-188, makes conviction of this code a misdemeanor of a high and aggravated nature. It recommends punishment by a fine of not less than $100 and not more than $2000.

Always watch your speed carefully and especially when traveling in a work zone.

Remember that the workers on the roadside are mommies and daddies, and their children need them home at night.
