Fog advisory extending to all of North Georgia and into middle Georgia:

According to WSB TV weather team, "a severe fog advisory is in effect throughout all of
North Georgia and middle Georgia.
This condition will continue until 9 AM Monday morning."

A driver’s vision is limited severely by fog, and motorist are advised to slow their vehicles to a safe speed.

Georgia code 40-1-180 states “ no person shall drive a vehicle at a speed greater than
is reasonable and prudent under the conditions
and having regard for the actual and potential hazards then existing.”

The Georgia Department of motor vehicles can impose a penalty of 2 to 6 points if one is
convicted of driving too fast for conditions.
A Georgia driver accumulating 15 points in a 24 month period will have his or hers driving privileges suspended.
