On Monday, June 10, 2013 a man was found dead on the Clarkston campus of Georgia Perimeter College. The man has been identified as Alpha Oumar Diallo, age 23, a resident of Stone Mountain.

On the morning of Tuesday, June 11, 2013, an autopsy was performed. The results indicated that Alpha Oumar Diallo died due to strangulation and blunt force injuries to the head. Sherry Lang, spokeswoman for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, confirmed this result for reporters. Blunt force injuries indicate that Alpha Diallo was hit in the head and suffered from contusions, abrasions, lacerations, and/or bone fractures due to a physical object or a physical attack.
