North West Atlanta toll lanes to open Saturday.
The long awaited north west corridor of the express lanes in Cobb and Cherokee county will be open for traffic Saturday morning.
This consists of 30 miles of toll lanes on I-75 and I-575. These toll lanes are separate from regular traffic and run from Akers Mill Rd., Hickory Grove Road on I-75 and from I-75 to Sixes road on l-575.
State officials expect the cost of the toll to be the minimum at first as the lanes will likely see spars use. For the first 14 days the cost is free, after that the minimum toll is $.10 per mile. The toll will increase as traffic increases.
