Stop Texts Stop Vehicle Wrecks!

Texting while driving is against the law in Georgia and in most other states.
Texting while driving is dangerous, hazardous to your health, and it may kill you.

Georgia code 40-6-241 makes it illegal for anyone to hold or support a mobile device while driving.
The penalty for the first conviction of this offenses $50. The third conviction carries the maximum penalty of $150.

If you are driving alone, place your mobile device on silent and put it in the console of your car.
If you have a passenger with you while driving, give your mobile device to that person.

stoptextsstopwrecks.org is an organization founded to encourage people to put away their mobile devices while driving.
