Typically, you may receive a telephone call from a person who identifies himself as an IRS agent. He may inform you that you owe the IRS a large sum of money. This amount is past due and a warrant is being issued for your arrest. You may be told that in order to avoid your arrest, a smaller sum of money, can be wired to a particular receiving office.
This must be done with in one hour. It is urgent that the money is received quickly, to prevent your arrest.
Given time to think this through, most people would investigate before sending their money away.
Once this money is wired away it is very unlikely that you will ever see it again.
Remember to be suspicious of calls that you receive that do not display a caller ID number.
No legitimate government official will contact you and demand money be wired to another location.
No legitimate person will call you, demanding money to prevent your arrest.
If you get this type of call hang up immediately. The longer you are kept on the phone, the more vulnerable you become
