According to AJC.com "Georgia Tech safety Jalen Johnson was arrested Saturday on a charge of simple battery."

The Georgia code defines simple battery as
"intentionally making physical contact of an insulting or provoking nature with another person, or "intentionally causing physical harm to another person."
