On June 29, 2013, a 17-year-old girl was walking on North Point Parkway when she was hit in the head and had her iPhone stolen.  Her attacker ran away and was then bitten by a K9 police dog while evading the police.

The Police have identified the attacker as Christopher Deven Daye, age 18. Daye is from Riverdale and is being charged with robbery by intimidation or force and obstruction. Allegedly, the 17-year-old girl, who is remaining nameless, was walking in a crosswalk on North Point Parkway and North Point Court when Daye hit her and then stole her iPhone. After Daye assaulted the teen girl, she ran into a nearby Ruby Tuesday and called 9-1-1 while Daye ran away with her phone.

While fleeing the scene, an officer with a K9 arrived and saw Daye trying to escape. After the officer ordered Daye to stop, Daye did not listen and ran into the woods near North Pointe Mall. Once Daye was located in the woods he was told to show his hands and surrender. When he refused to do so, they released a K9 dog into the woods. Daye was bitten once by the dog before he was taken into custody and then taken to the hospital to treat his wound.

Last September an agency in Ohio reported Daye as missing. Said agency was being informed of Daye’s whereabouts.
