My appearance in Milton City Court. Monday, March 4, 2019: I appeared in Milton City Court on behalf of my client who was not present, to pay his court fine of $193. Fighting client's speeding ticket in Milton, Georgia. March 4, 2019: I appeared with my client in the Milton municipal court. My client had been issued a speeding ticket for going 58 mph in a 40 mph zone. Following considerable negotiation with the prosecutor, I was able to get the court to agree to reduce my client’s speed to 14 mph over the limit, which is non-reportable, if my client pays a $193 fine, and takes a defensive driving class. We accepted this proposal, and my client’s case will be reset until May 3, 2019 for client’s completion of defensive driving class. Neither my client or I will need to return to court on that date, as client will submit the certificate of completion of driving class and pay this fine before May 3.March 4, 2019: I appeared with my client in the Milton municipal court. Client's speeding ticket dismissed in Alpharetta. On February 27, 2019, I appeared with my client in the Alpharetta Municipal Court. My client had been charged with a super speeder ticket. Georgia code 40 – 6–189 classifies a super speeder as anyone convicted of speeding at 75 mph or more on a 2 Lane Rd, or 85 mph on any road in the state of Georgia. After considerable negotiation with the prosecutor, I was able to get the court to agree to reduce my client’s speed to 14 mph over the limit after my client completes a defensive driving class. This will become a non-reporting incident to the Georgia Department of driver Service and is essentially a dismissal. Fighting illegal client’s driving without license charge. On Tuesday, January 15, 2019, I appeared with my client in Alpharetta Municipal Court. My client had been charged with operating a motor vehicle without a drivers license. He also had an outstanding bench warrant for his arrest because he missed a prior court date. My client, who is an illegal, was very worried about deportation. I had him meet me at the Alpharetta Municipal Court, rather than have him turn himself in at the jail, because of the bench warrant. Following lengthy discussion with the court, I negotiated a fine – only guilty plea with the prosecutor. My client paid the fine in full and was released. His bench warrant was withdrawn. This is an extremely happy client of the Alpharetta, Georgia traffic ticket defense attorney Scott Miller.
