Fighting client's DUI in Alpharetta: On December 19, 2019, I appeared with my client and my client’s father in the Alpharetta municipal court. My client was charged with reckless driving and DUI. This was my client’s second DUI charge within three years. After considerable negotiation with the prosecutor, I was able to get the DUI charge reduced to reckless driving. My client will be required to serve 15 days in custody, pay a fine of approximately $1500, take one risk reduction class, take one alcohol and drug evaluation, and complete 40 hours of community service. My client and I each received a certified copy of the court’s decision, and I instructed her to take her certified copy to the Department of driver services. She did this today. The Georgia Department of driver services told her her drivers license is valid. This is a very good outcome for my client considering the fact that this was her second DUI in three years. On December 19, 2019, I appeared with my client and my client’s father in the Alpharetta municipal court.
